We think of digestion as starting in the stomach, but digestion is a complex interaction of various systems of the body that include your brain, mouth/teeth, stomach, gastrointestinal tract, also liver, pancreas, kidneys, and endocrine system. When one aspect of this network is not functioning properly, it can throw the whole digestive system out of balance as well as your immune and nervous systems. Pent up stress or emotions can also cause upset stomach, indigestion and contribute to digestive issues. In this holistic series, we’ll look at how yoga practice and nutrition can be used to heal your gut and lead to optimal health.

Join Ruth and Kerry in a special 5-week series where we will talk about common digestive issues. You’ll learn what foods to eat and yoga sequences to deal with these particular issues and restore balance.

5 – 2 Hour Online sessions that include:

45 minute presentation on nutrition and how to eat for specific digestive issue

1 hour Yoga class with tailored instruction and specialized sequencing for particular digestive complaints

15 Minute Weekly Q & A

30-60 minute Yoga Sequences to practice on your own and tailored to address specific digestive issues

Handouts on nutrition provided for each session and topic

Live Q & A throughout the program to get your questions answered

About the Presenters

Ruth Clark
Ruth Clark is a Registered Dietitian and Functional Nutritionist for over 40 years. Her specialty is hormone balance, curbing inflammation and improving gut health. They are all connected!

Kerry Doyle

Kerry Doyle is a Certified Iyengar Yoga teacher, and has been teaching and studying Iyengar Yoga since 2009. She is the Owner/Director of AHA Yoga and specializes in women’s health.

Learn how Yoga & Nutrition Promote Optimal Health

This 5-week series includes presentation/discussion and practice where you will learn how to create a program unique to your digestive concerns. Weekly sessions are 2 hours and include a 45 minute presentation on nutrition followed by a 1-Hour Yoga class sequenced to promote digestive health. You’ll learn the science behind digestion, digestive health as well as an understanding of which poses to practice, how to practice them and how to eat to move towards balance.

Enrollment is for the full 5-week series.
