Asana, Pranayama and Dhyana: Doorways to the Self

Join Patricia Walden, one of Guruji’s Senior teachers to explore how the practice of asana and pranayama can open doorways to connect with one’s deeper Self. The daily life of a modern yoga practitioner can bring about feelings of confusion, disconnection and uncertainty. The journey of yoga provides a portal that, when opened, establishes a clear connection and communion between one’s outer world and innermost core.

This retreat is held at the historic Enfield Shaker Museum.  Founded in 1793 and located on the shore of Mascoma Lake in the valley the Shakers called the Chosen Vale, the museum includes a number of historic buildings on 21 acres. The retreat experience is designed to take you deeper into your practice by allowing time and space for quiet reflection

Each day includes 3 hours of asana in the morning and 2 hours of pranayama and philosophy discussion in the afternoon. In addition, enjoy delicious vegetarian meals and special evening programs. Past years have included an evening of chanting, viewing of historic film footage of Guruji.

REGISTRATION OPEN. Registration is on a first come first serve basis. PLEASE note – once filled, email kerry@ahayoga.com to be added to the waitlist.

A final schedule will be sent out in May. Listed below is a general schedule to give you a sense of the overall structure.

This retreat is for seasoned practitioners with the following requirements:
• Have a regular asana and pranayama practice
• Be able to hold sirsasana for 5 minutes
• Be able to hold salamba sarvangasana for 10 minutes
• Be able to press up independently in Urdhva Dhanurasana
• Be able to work with your own injuries

Change FEE- Changes to enrollment options are allowed with an administrative fee of $15/change.

Residential Retreat Options

Includes all meals – all vegetarian with vegan options

Double room – $1325 –

Triple room – $1250
Pay in full or $500 deposit, balance due by May 1st

Commuter Pricing Options

This option includes yoga classes and meal options. Please see our web-site for a list of area B&B’s.
The following options are available for Commuters:
• Option 1: All classes and all meals included: $990
• Option 2: All classes and all lunches: $790
• Option 3: All classes, no meals: $730

Pay in full or $500 deposit, balance due by May 1st
