Live life as if you were to die tomorrow.
Learn as if you were to live forever.
— Mahatma Gandhi

Saturday, October 2, marks the 141st birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhi was the pioneer of satyagraha, which translates as “holding on to truth,” a philosophy and practice of nonviolent resistance through mass civil disobedience. Gandhi led India to independence and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world. These five videos offer insight insight into his life and practice. Also, we are inspired by the tireless work of Aruna Seth, AHA’s Indian cooking teacher in residence, who is organizing a benefit dinner for the Gandhi Peace Network in North Dakota.
