Upper Back:  Yoga for Neck & Shoulders_MG_6801

March 19, 26 & April 2nd

Sunday 12:30-1:30 pm

Do you have a real pain in the neck? Or feel like you are carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders? Join Kerry for this special 3-week course! This class is appropriate for any level of students. The shoulder joint includes more muscles than any other part of the body. As a result, the muscles of the neck and shoulder tend to be an area where many people experience tightness, hold tension or have pain or injury at some time in their life. Because of this convergence of muscles, yoga offers the possibility of greater freedom in the shoulders with regular practice. Participants will leave with:

  • An understanding of common misalignments of posture and how they contribute to tightness or discomfort in the neck and shoulders
  • Some basic poses that release tension and relax muscles of the neck/shoulders
  • A short, simple sequence of yoga poses carefully designed to alleviate pain and promote health in the upper back, neck and shoulders – many of which can be done anywhere!
