Special Summer School Yoga Series, 4:15 – 5:30 pm
June 17 – August 5, 2009
Are you a beginning student who would like to develop a strong foundation in yoga poses? Are you a more advanced student who continues to find some of the basic standing poses challenging? Are you any level of student who would like to improve the key points of your standing poses? Are you a student who has studied other yoga traditions, but would like to learn more about Iyengar yoga, particularly the key points of alignment?
For eight weeks this summer, we will be offering a class designed to increase student’s understanding of poses in an in-depth and systematic fashion. Each pose will be demonstrated by a teacher with attention on specific points of alignment. After carefully observing students, the pose will be immediately reviewed by a teacher, with additional points or tips for students to follow. We will cover at least 30 different poses. It is our goal that you will experience improvement in and a greater understanding of every pose. The class will be taught in an Iyengar-style fashion by two teachers so expect twice as much attention and feedback as a normal yoga class.
You can purchase an 8-week pass for $96 which will expire at the end of the series, or use a regular pass with no commitment. For questions, contact summer@ahayoga.com. Taught by Diana Shannon and Carole Petrillo.
