Ancient Healing Arts Teachers
All Ancient Healing Arts teachers are certified Iyengar yoga teachers and have strong personal practices. Feel free to drop in or observe any class. You may also email the instructor with questions.
I discovered yoga in my mid-20’s while living in a tiny cabin on an island off the coast of Washington state. 12 years later, after completing my graduate degree in Environmental Science, the challenges of job searching led me back to the mat. I always felt connected to Iyengar yoga; I loved the precision of the instructions and how each class felt like a journey where I discovered something new. In 2015, I took on ownership of the AHA studio. I’m grateful to be part of a wonderful community of yoga students & teachers. I am a Junior 1 certified Iyengar yoga teacher and offer ongoing classes, short courses on special topics and private lessons.

When I’m not doing yoga, I love: birding, hiking, baseball
Kristin is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher. She began her study of yoga in 2000 shortly after competing in the USA Track and Field Olympic Trials. She completed a 2 year teacher training program with Janice Vien and continues to study regularly with Janice and Jill Johnson. Coming to Yoga as a competitive athlete, Kristin delights in teaching the physical benefits of the practice. She is interested in helping students obtain and maintain stability and flexibility (in mind and body!) thru life. Her practice and teaching are supported by a vibrant local community and fortified through her travels to participate in workshops with Senior Iyengar teachers around the country.
Jill is the founder of Ancient Healing Arts Yoga studio, the longest running yoga studio in the Upper Valley. In 2015, she decided to focus more of her energy on teaching and her practice and Kerry took on ownership of the studio. She has been practicing yoga in the Iyengar tradition since 1988 and currently studies regularly with Patricia Walden. Jill is making some big changes and is currently on a sabbatical from teaching. She plans to move to Wisconsin to be closer to her family in November and is excited about simplifying her life as well as welcoming a new grandchild into her family!
